Ketika ibu saya berkunjung, ibu mengajak saya untuk shopping bersamanya kerana dia menginginkan sepasang kurung yg baru. Saya sebenarnya tidak suka pergi membeli belah bersama dengan orang lain, dan saya bukanlah orang yang sabar, tetapi walaupun demikian kami pergi juga ke pusat membeli belah tersebut. Kami mengunjungi setiap butik yang menyediakan pakaian wanita, d! an ibu saya mencuba sehelai demi sehelai pakaian dan mengembalikan semuanya. Seiring hari yang berlalu, saya mulai penat dan kelihatan jelas riak2 kecewa di wajah ibu.

Akhirnya pada butik terakhir yang kami kunjungi, ibu saya mencuba satu baju kurung yang cantik . Dan kerana ketidaksabaran saya, maka untuk kali ini saya ikut masuk dan berdiri bersama ibu saya dalam fitting room, saya melihat bagaimana ibu mencuba pakaian tersebut, dan dengan susah mencuba untuk mengenakannya. Ternyata tangan-tangannya sudah mulai dilumpuhkan oleh penyakit radang sendi dan sebab itu dia tidak dapat melakukannya, seketika ketidaksabaran saya digantikan oleh suatu rasa kasihan yang dalam kepadanya. Saya berbalik pergi dan cuba menyembunyikan air mata yang keluar tanpa saya sedari. Setelah saya mendapatkan ketenangan lagi, saya kembali masuk ke fitting room untuk membantu ibu mengenakan pakaiannya.

Pakaian ini begitu indah, dan ibu membelinya. Shopping kami telah berakhir, tetapi kejadian tersebut terukir dan tidak dapat dilupakan dari ingatan ..

Sepanjang sisa hari itu, fikiran saya tetap saja kembali pada saat berada di dalam fitting room tersebut dan terbayang tangan ibu saya yang sedang berusaha mengenakan pakaiannya. Kedua tangan yang penuh dengan kasih, yang pernah menyuapi, memandikan saya, memakaikan baju, membelai dan memeluk saya, dan terlebih dari semuanya, berdoa untuk saya, sekarang tangan itu telah menyentuh hati saya dengan cara yang paling berbekas dalam hati saya. Kemudian pada malam harinya saya pergi ke kamar ibu saya mengambil tangannya, lantas menciumnya ... dan yang membuatnya terkejut, saya memberitahunya bahwa bagi saya kedua tangan tersebut adalah tangan yang paling indah di dunia ini. Saya sangat bersyukur bahwa Tuhan telah membuat saya dapat melihat dengan sejelasnya, betapa bernilai dan berharganya kasih sayang yang penuh pengorbanan dari seorang ibu.

Saya hanya dapat berdoa bahwa suatu hari kelak tangan saya dan hati saya akan memiliki keindahannya tersendiri. Dunia ini memiliki banyak keajaiban, segala ciptaan Tuhan yang begitu agung, tetapi tak satu pun yang dapat menandingi keindahan tangan Ibu...

I managed to catch Samad live in action sometime back in 1997 at KL Hardrock cafe. There, he preformed together with the light of Jatt Ali, Jay Jay, Tom and many more legendry musicians from Malaysia..calling themselves, ROCKEFELLA. The group was simply superb in every espect. While surfing the net, I managed to find my all time instrumental fav. from SAMAD.

With the announcement of the 4th Publicly Funded university, one may find that more and more Singaporeans may elevate their educational levels. There was a time whereby, having a Diploma / A level is enough to sustain or have a fruitfullcareer. It has been quite a while since I've practised my techniques. Been out of trg for 2 yrs now..kind of missed those days where I knew I could fly without wings... Hopefully, I got the chance to train again .. and be one with my inner self and bring balance to the force...

Not So Happening

I recently watched the movie called : " The Happening" and my conclusion of the movie was So not Happening langsung..

It was about some kind of virus or toxic waste in the air or some supernatural thingy or whatever lah...

Basically what it does is that some air overtook the human minds causing them to actually start killing themselves..

thru'out the story, people are basically killing themselves after having so called breathe in the infected air and 3 person actually managed to avoid this mess and stay alive thru'out the show...*lucky them*

The film is slow ... Little sense of direction and probably bore u to death...give this a miss. *Crap*

Surviving a knife attacK

With so much violence happening around us, it is essential that one must and a least know the basic of self protection. Avoid confrontation tough..if u;re being attacked, do the minimum and back-off then..No need to be the next KARATE Kid. Get yr assailant off balance and dash off or seek other assistance...

TRADE ................ of a different kind

I recently came across an article reporting the arrest of 389 people on child trafficking offence. These children, whom mostly are runaways or either being kidnapped by syndicates are forced into prostitution at a very young age. And mind u, it is a lucarative business out there as compared to other sorts of illegal activities (drugs, Ah Long & etc). These childrens are being send to countries such US, Middle East and even Asian region to serve those sicko / wackos people (could be doctors , lawyers, businessman, superstar and etc, basically it could juz be anybody) out there so just as to satisfy their LUST for these children (both boy and gerl).

As the result of the crackdown, 21 sexually explioted children were rescued from the streets.

I recently managed to catch up with the Movie called " HUMAN TRAFFICKING". From the title itself, u basically could figured out what it is all about. The almost 4hrs plus show tells a story about how these international syndicate operated and how they munipulated the children and even adults and worst still, those children that are being snatched off their parents in broad daylight.

The internet seem to be one of the medium for these syndicate to spread their wings. From Chatline, Modelling Advertisments or even the promise of finding that 1 true love. These syndicate will try almost everything and anything that could captured the attention of the unsuspected victims.

I recommend all to watch this movie. Know what is going on around u. Not just the awareness but also to remind us to be much carefull expecially with our little one and to be always on a constant look out for them expecially in public or crowded areas (locally & overseas).

No Petrol No CRY

The Malaysian Goverment recently released a statement on the ban of petrol sales to all foreign vehicles within 50KM of their border.

The recent move was to curb those foreign vehicles from taking advantages on the high oil subsidies by the Malaysian Goverment so they claimed.

Vehicle from Singapore and Thailand are very much affected by this move.

As an avid traveller to Malaysia, the move did affect me much. Being neighbours to Johor, many Singaporean like myself loved travelling to M'sia particular in the state of Johore for the good food, nice natural surroundings (waterfalls & beaches) and even shopping.

Come 9th June 2008, this may have to stop. With No Petrol, how to drive around ? As indicated in the photograph, the 50KM radius covers almost the whole state of Johore..and if our petrol runs out, then what ?

There were many talks and press coverage with contradicting reports. 1st, there was the ban, 2nd, no more ban as foreigner will pay non subsidies rate, 3rd, Dy PM, Mr Najib released a statement indicating that it will not proceed with the ban as Singaporean actually agreed to pay the non-subsidies rate...then yesterday nite, the NEWS coverage confirming the ban will take effect on 9th June 2008 for Singapore plate vehicle...I am just so confused. For now, I'll take it that the BAN is still on for Singapore Plate Cars come 9th June 2008.

I just hope that the relevant ministries there understood the impact of such move especially on the economy. With such sudden policy changes, it will shy investors / spenders away. I am not refering to the ban on petrol in particular but rather the overall management of policies itself.

With the much talk about IDR development, I would think that with such sudden policy implementation, will definately make potential investors to think twice before participating.

I hope we are able to fill up our cars with petrol even with the non-subsidies rate .. We are already on 3/4 tank upon entering Malaysia..I don't think we could topped up that much rite ?
