...Power PRATA

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Had a late dinner on last nite at a cafe called "The Prata Cafe". A nice cosy conner away from hustle and bustle of the city life. With choices of up to 20 varaiety prata & 20 thosai, u'll be definately be spoiled for choice. And not forgetting the so call 200 carpark lot available. I could not fine the carpark though. All I see was people parking by the roadside. I guessed I must have missed the carpark or something.

Anyway, with all those varieties of pratas available, I still could not find my all time favourite "Chicken Floss Prata". *damnz*. Thus, I had to settle for a "Banana Prata". Pretty much normal in the taste..nothing special about it. I have had better tasting "Banana Prata" elsewhere.

The ambiance at "The Prata Cafe" is good. Very much outdoor and very much "kampung" style.

The service was rather a bit slow. Had to wait for almost 20min for a Fried Rice. But it was worth the wait. The fried rice tasted good. As what was complimented by wifey & Lizwan.

Overall rating for this place. 3.5 / 5

u've got move

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I see life as a game of CHESS.

Proper planning and move needs to be made to ensure achievement in your objective. There is a saying, failing to plan is planning to fail and it u don't make the 'move', u'll loose the game like dat .

I'm all for these planning thingy but there are moments in life that we just have to do it..

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Plans do go wrong. We need to accept & adapt to those moments.

Why am I saying all this ? I don't even know...All I wanted to do was to showcase 2 dudes playing chess...and I end up talking this crap...Well that is sometime I did not plan for..

...wherever I may roam

Ahhhhh..... I need it... after months of firefighting at work, I'm totally burned out...I need a break...thus' along come Ops Genting & KL... a four days trip that should cool me then ( excuses ).

13 April 2006 and off I go to the "City in the clouds" .

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

An almost 6hrs journey from Singapore got me to the "City in the clouds". The journey there was rather smooth with occasionally slowness in traffic due to some road works along the northsouth highway. I ain't complaining though..its for a better road condition.

Wifey took the 1st driving shift all the way to MACHAP.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Me had to buy a road map to guide us thru' the journey although I wanted to rely on my SPIDER SENSE to lead us thru'...but then again...naahh..it ain't gonna to happen anytime soon. Wifey feels more confident with a MAP rather then my SPIDEY SENSE.

Reached "Theme Park" hotel at around 1530hrs. We could have reached earlier but I had made a wrong exit resulting in us having to go a longer route. So much for my SPIDEY SENSE.... I'm beginning to feel that I'm loosing my super power...*darn*

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Our rooms had a good view of the "Outdoor Theme Park". This is the first time we had such a view. Usually we would get views such as a TREE blocking a scenery or juz a CARPARK view.. This time round, it was different.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

We rested for a while before began exploring the CITY.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The temperature was not really cold so we decided to walk outdoor instead of using the sheltered walkway. The air was fresh although u could smell some vehicle gas ocassionally. Overall it was still fresh.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

There was nothing much to do at Genting except for some sighseeing. Both MOMs and Wifey are not into those trill adventure rides. They wandered from shop to shop and to more shops.
As for me, I did try the skydiving experience with wind blowing towards my body at a speed of 195KM. I can FLYyyy... I got new power !!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

This is the second time I tired this. Had fun doing this but still nothing beats the BUNGEE Jump that I had some years back. Anyway, it was still good fun flying without wings in the tube..I feel like a fish in a big aquarium with people watching from outside with full amazement. They must be thinking.." WAhhh...So big fish one, good CATCH"

The MOMs & Wifey did try a ride. They took the slow boat ride that simulates a scene in PARIS..BON Jovi !! eeh salah..BON Jour...

After this we headed back to our hotel. Lightout.

14 April 2006. After breakfast at the hotel, we checked out to begin our decent to KL City. But before that, we did our final tour around Genting. The MOMs & Wifey managed to do some last minute shopping...(biasalah, orang pompuan nie)

Here are some of the Garden Photos that I managed to capture before our decent to KL City.

Time checked 1430hrs...and we are in KL. Just 45min drive from Genting. We had wanted to check into hotel first but since we passed by "Masjid India" site first, we decided to checkout this place first.

The MOMs are full of smiles here...Biasalah...tempat dia olang...

The weather was cloudy when we reached and soon after that, the Sky began to CRY...juz look at the tears running down the streets.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

We decided to had our lunch there.. We all decided to have a light lunch as we will be continuing to tour the area in search of that perfect blouse

By 1730hrs, we decided to call off the search and began proceeding to our hotel.

We got an intro of the KL Jam *damnz*

Image and video hosting by TinyPic.

Traffic was at a stand still. We were stuck for almost 30min in a small lane before finally breaking thru' to the other side (teringat lagu " The Doors")..

At the hotel, we are given a VIP treatment..Prehaps because we took the PREMIER ROOMs. We were treated to a welcome cocktail. Ain't dat COOL !

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

We decided to scrap our plan for dinner that night since it was raining heavily. The MOMs looked pretty tired from the search misson earlier. They tucked in early while me and wifey had a quiet dinner of Tomyam soup & Paprirk Rice at a nearby restaurant.

15 April 2006. Rise and Shine...a new day and a new mission. First stop, KLCC.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The place was rather packed with human traffic. I decided to break away from the team to venture on my own there. I'm a one man army scouting and securing my own mission.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I had toured the area for almost 2hrs before regrouping with the rest of the team. By then, we were already hungry. Time for "Oscar Echo" or in other word...makan dahhh...

I had the chance to catch a glim of the latest NOKIA N series phone during my solo round at KLCC. The Nokia N91. With features such as an inbuilt 4 GB HDD space and Wi-fi connection, who could ask for more..Suddently my N70 feels small compared to this. I had asked the sales person about the price but no details were given to them yet as the release date will not be for at least within the few weeks.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

After done with KLCC, guess where is our next mission. "Jln Masjid India" again...Since the MOMs had nothing to buy at KLCC, they prefer Jln Masjid India better...Hence resulting in "The Return to Masjid India".

This time round the sky wasn't crying. It was a clear day. Lots and lots of people. There was a weekend BAZAAR happening there with stuff being sold at a cheaper price. It was indeed a feast for the eyes with almost anything being sold there. Kindy of reminded me of Pertaling St.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I saw something interesting that caught my attention. A stall was selling Singapore Rojak. Since when there is a rojak called Singapore Rojak ? hmmm...

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The tour at "Jln Masjid India" took about almost 3hrs and it was time to head back to our RHQ (Radius Headquaters).

As usual, we had our afternoon cocktail at the VIP lounge before heading back to our respective rooms. No dinner outing again as The MOMs are tired so me and wifey decided to roam around Jln Bukit Bintang ourselves. The weekend there is so happening at Jln Bukit Bintang with live band performance along the streets, night bazaar, foot massage, strip clubs, eehh sorry, mistook KL for Bangkok.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

After much walking, me & wifey decided to settle for a KFC dinner before heading back to our hotel. Checkout the CHICK..err I mean the chicken..

the thing that should not be ...

Still in my exploring mode with my new love, I had woke up early today to explore certain functions of my N70 and without reliasing it was already 0815hrs. Left house in hurry to send wife to SUNTEC before attending to a meeting at HQ which starts at 0930hrs

Reached SUNTEC at 0845hrs and was at HQ by 0910hrs. I had initially booked for parking lot thru' my contact in HQ but I guess he had forgotten about it thus resulting me having to park at a nearby public carpark. Opened my car boot and only to realise that I had left my "Laptop" containing most of my meeting infor. at home....Arggghhhhhhhhhhh.......*why me*

I took a few second to calm down and began walking toward HQ with only a pen on my hand.(so they say, the Pen is mightier then the Sword...are they referring to POKEMON pen ?)

I had a quicky breakfast before entering the meeting room at level 10.

The meeting lasted a for almost 4 hrs..*damn*...that was long...but it was a fruitful one. I managed to clear some doubts which have been clouding my mind over the last 3 months. By 1320hrs, I left the building.

As I worked from my laptop, I had no choice by to return home to take it. *KNN*

New addition to the family

At last, my love have come along. After weeks of speculations with market prices going up and down, I decided that it was time to settle down. Thus, announcing the latest introduction to the family. My love of the lifetime (at least for now)...Nokia N70.

My N-gage QD have been misbehaving the pass couple of month signalling the need for a change. But I'm not dumping it rightaway. Over the years, I have grown attached to it thus, I've decided to turn it as my secret phone lover. Tucked somewhere under my pillow incase boredom strike and I can play with it.

Now, its time to EXPLORE......

... revisiting the past

After a wonderfull experience I had during my recent "Desaru" trip, I managed to sell the idea to me wifey and "Lizwan" to experience the same. Initially, due to some unforseen circumstances, plans had to be changed and modified several time.
Finally, after much analysis on the relevant data, we finally agreed upon a road trip to "MALACCA" instead.

The scheduled meet up time was supposed to be 0730hrs but a late wake up call resulted in me and me wifey reaching Lizwan house at 0830hrs.. Parked our cars at the multi storey carpark and we jumped into Lizwan " The MATRIX" automobile...

Off we go..

The causeway had a bit of a JAM...but we managed to clear it within 30mins.

From JB town, we headed straight to the the highway via Lido Beach & Skudai..

Image hosting by TinyPic

Along the journey, we decided to have our "Breakfast" at MACHAP stopover before continueing all the way to MALACCA.

Image hosting by TinyPic

Our first stop at MALACCA was the BEE FARM...*what's up with the Bee thingy* After hearing much of the BEE talk, Jabztin & Lizwan bought a bottle of honey each, promising rich nutrients and goodness that comes with it.

Image hosting by TinyPic

After the BEE thingy experience, we drove straight to "Bandar Hilir" @ka FAMOSA town.

This is a historical place with landmarks dated as early as the 13th century. Much of it still remain intact with minor modification made to the infrastructures.

Image hosting by TinyPic

Even the town itself had little changes made to it..At least not since I last visited MALACCA in 2002. The rows of shops houses kind of remind me of Singapore in the yesteryears and of those at ARAB St now. There are a lot of antique shops available which is an eye feast for those antique collectors.

Here are some of the Classic Landmark that I managed to capture during my visit there.

Prior to this, we had visited the state museum which showcased artifects and findings from the ancient time in Malacca. It was basically a live history book. I had studied some of the history stories during my secondary school so I knew some of those events that was being higlighted there.

life's a BEACH

0730hrs *damn*...am I late or what..Not to work though, but to an all guys day out..
I had only a few hrs of sleep as I had worked late the day before..all thanks to the "Firewall implementation" thingy...

Anyway, enough talk of work..I woke up 0730hrs to send my dearest wifey to work before meeting up with my other 2 kakis for a trip to DESARU Beach..
(nak merayap, kenalah ambik hati bini)

This is a ritual event that me and some of my buddies had during school holidays

By 1000hrs, we left Singapore to "Ten Two" to Desaru.

Image hosting by TinyPic

The journey was via the road to MERSING.

Reached Desaru after almost 2hrs drive. Passed by a few area such at Kota Tinggi, Bukit Apeng and etc...

Image hosting by TinyPic

We had our lunch first before we getting started with our water activities.

Image hosting by TinyPic

Lunch was good, nothing special, juz the normal stuff.. Some protein and carbo. for energy..and not forgetting those fats, for that nice taste..

Image hosting by TinyPic

The restaurant was very windy. We could hear the sounds of the waves crashing along the shoreline. Feels like I'm in paradise Island

By 1330hrs, we decide that it was time for the Sun, the Sand & the Sea...

All began stripping into our Sea Attire..First one to strip was "KEMI" ...

Image hosting by TinyPic

Once everybody is ready, we began "ten seven" toward the the sea....,but not after some friendly pose for the camera.

Image hosting by TinyPic

The wave and current was rather strong so we could not really swim..It was more of a crashing our bodies into the waves. That was fun but it takes up a lot of our strength thus making us tired easily and not forgetting having to swollow litres of sea water...

Image hosting by TinyPic

While I was busy with my body crashing into the waves, my other two buddies were busy looking all BROKEBACK for the camera...

Image hosting by TinyPic

Image hosting by TinyPic

Last I heard from them that they were "Vegetarian"..I wonder what that means..

Anyway, I had a fun time on the beach and this is how I expressed it.

Image hosting by TinyPic

Some expressed fun using SAND, like he did :

Image hosting by TinyPic

At 1545hrs, the 3 of use call it quit..We're just too tired to continue. We decided that we had enough and it was time to head to JB town as we had other missions.

Image hosting by TinyPic

Image hosting by TinyPic

By 1630hrs we are ready to hit the ROAD for our next missons....

Image hosting by TinyPic

Subsequent missions were not captured on photograph due to its sensitive contents.

With that I end .....
