Gerl Vs Truck

Today....a truck meet its match.
May the gerl spare some mercy on it.

Amsterbatz ... the day trip

Took me leave till the end of the year...wat to do ! wat to do !!!... and suddenly, the golden question pops up...
"Wanna to go AMSTERBATZ ?"...... and after a very much thought and carefull consideration which lasted for about 1min...me and me buddies decided ... Yehhhh !!!

Thursday morning, 28 Dec 06 ..had planned to met up with my 2 buddies @ Harbour Front. Reached there at 0730hrs and it was already full of people going abroad....and I though I was early..No more ferry tickets for the 0815hr thus we had to catch the next ferry schedule which leave at about 0930hrs... Under the bohpian act...we took it..

Bought some breakfast for ourselves and we began to proceed to the ferry for boarding.

The journey took about 1hrs to Amsterbatz....pretty much of normal routine..custom check, security screening..the long Q...the choppy water and watching "Pirates of the Caribean" on the ferry (comes with some crappy subtitles)...

...but overall, the journey was OK.

Once we've cleared the customs there, our first stop was the shopping mall across the road call " MEGA MALL".....
We being the early birds was greated with a " all shop still not open yet" policy..*damnz*....but luckly we found one which was already opened.. and provide the following services...

We thought for a while...Its either the Soft Blow or the Normal blow ?*wink* ....naahhhh !!! Me being a metrosexual men wannabe decides to try the facial services which cost Rp 40 000 ($8) and damn it was painfull...got pinch here and there all over my face...almost cried too....but the end product was good. My face was much smoother and pimple free and I feel fresh...Like the saying " No pain No Gain"..

Once we done, we had our lunch before proceed to the town called "Nagoya".. Since it being a wet day, our activities was contrained to indoor stuff...me had the intention to tried bungee but not too sure if there still is one there..

time checked and it was almost time for us to leave and we had book for our ferry back to Singapore @ 1730hrs...But not before another round of last minute shopping at Mega Mall.. Bro Chus. got a good deal for his "Mont Blanc" shoe.

as for me ... bought mostly baby stuff and 1/2 dozen dougnuts.

Although this was a short trip...it was indeed a good one...Will definately return for more shopping of dougnuts.... Yehhhh!!!

The Journey to middle-earth ???

Its be ages since I have climbed any mountain. On 6th Dec 06, I decided to try again one more time..Not to the top though, but enough to make my whole body cramps...

Me and a few of my buddies took off from Singapore toward Tangkak via the NorthSouth Highway... Stop by at Machap for a quicky breakfast.

.....and soon, we are back on the highway.

Activating my turbo charger, we reached the entrance of Mt Ophir at about 12 plus...

Since it is already lunch time, we decided that it would be wise to pack some food as there are no foodstalls in the jungle.

Had to pay $1Rm per person & $2Rm for the car at the entrance. Nothing is for free nowaday....

.......and the journey begins.

I have always remembered Ophir with its many step ... Had a hard time climbing it the last time and still having a hard time climbing it now..hehehe..something juz never change...only this time, me felt giddy halfway climbing it... must the low on carbo.*yeh rite*

Halfway climbing, we decided the take 5... Damn tired siak...

.....and then we continued climbing.

Climbed for almost 35min before we finally reached our destination....THE WATERFALL...

Raya rituals..

0730hrs... and I'm already late. The guys are already waiting for me at my void deck.
I summoned the "Speed of the PUMA" and was ready within 15mins.

This year, we have decided to attend the prayer session @ Sultan Mosque. We zoomed our way there and arrived at 0810hrs. Found at nice cosy illegal parking spot and parked our cars there.

Prayer starts at 0830hrs leaving us a few minutes for TCSS session.

By 0910hrs. All has ended.

We made our way to Boat Quay for a nice breakfast at Mcdonalds. This has always been our ritual's yearly.

Meet up with more friends there. It was nice to see everyone. It all started during our poly daze when we use to meet up outside Tampines Mosque after every Hari Raya prayers and will then proceed to the nearest Mcdonalds for a breakfast meal.

Years have passed and we are still doing the same thingy and I hope this will continue for the longest time.

This is the only time whereby we could catch up with one another progress such as what handphone one is using....have one upgrade their PC to the latest specs., selling off their IPod ? and even making big plans such as tour de Malaysia, blah blah blah...

Chatted for about 1hr before proceeding for our photo shootout in search for Singapore's Top Big models.

Time checked : 1100hrs... Everyone starts to receive their coded messages from their respective Ministres of Home Affairs.... Time to go.

Into the BLUE (contains semi-nidity)

....VLAN reassignment, firewall reconstruction, crisis contengencies planning, wireless implementation, S2006, ceremonies, training and the list goes on and on and on and on. These are some of the challenges that I had to put up with this month and indeed is a tough month for me. As the saying goes, "When the going gets tough, take half day leave"...and indeed I did juz dat.

Took the PM leave and together with my werkplace "kakis" and decided to go Into the BLUE...

Of the 4 whom recalled, only 2 responded and without much delay, we meet up @ Sentosa Island @ 1350hrs.

First stop, Tanjong Beach. A much secluded BEACH at the far end of Sentosa Island. Not much of a crowd there today thus' we decided to check out the rest of the available beaches.

Found a cool spot and within seconds we get ourselves confortable.
Some of us even took the time to catch up with world updates.

....as for me.....Its "CASINO ROYALE" time.

Played a game called "Tai Tee"...Wonder what that was suppose to mean. Anyway, I am a lousy card player thus the 2 bugger took the opportunity to trash me inside out in the card game. Damn CONMAN !

My mind wasn't set on the card game...Looking at the DEEP BLUE Sea, I could not wait to get a dip.

After loosing a few rounds the card game, I call it a QUIT..Me & Card don't gel well....at least that is what I think.

I immediately took off to the sea ...

I could feel my body getting recharged the moment it came into contact with the sea water... Prehaps it was the cool water that does the trick.

Soon, the rest followed.

We had a game of beach soccer with some youngsters and managed to beat them 5 - 3. hehehe..Not bad huh for mostly senior men team. Overall, it was a good game played.

We stayed in the water for about 30-40 mins to enjoy the surrounding scenery and of course did some laps between the nearby island before calling it a quit. Its already 1650hrs. Time to make an exit.

While walking toward the rest room, Uncle Chua spotted the "Dead Man Chest" and could not resist the temptation of having it for his own.

.....and all we could say to him, "Take LaH". Do watever u want with it. I was quite contented with having to play with the fountain water...(a man with simple needs)

A lot have changed at Sentosa. The rest / bathing rooms seem to be of an open concept. Very much airy

Not too sure of the women side of the story... Prehaps any ladies care to update on the women portion of the toilet ? Similar concept to the men ?

Once we're done, we began to proceed to Tanjong Beach to get our ride. Both "kakis" of mine had to return home while I will only need to fetch me wifey about 4hrs later...hmmmmmm....wat to do ! wat to do !

Armed myself with my NIKON S5 Digi Cam, I began to scout the island beaches in search of the perfect sunset. And the results are as follow.

Realised that my there my Nikon S5 sux. Not much manual control over it and its focusing power is just not good enough.

Time checked : 1920hrs. Time to leave.

Kidz Central

Kidz, kidz, kidz ...... They are everywhere. Not that I'm complaining. I love them especially on seeing the purity that comes out from their facial expression in any situations.

It is only during family gathering such as this am I abled to meet up with my little nephews & niece whom some I even had difficulties remembering their names. There were just too many of them... (its an invation)

"Baby Farhan", being the lastest inclusion to the family was blessed with the goodness of health and may he be a filial son to the parents and a good contributor to the society.

"Baby Sasabil" (featured on the left) whom happened to hold the title for being the latest inclusion to the family sometime back also attend the blessing ceremony.

..and also not forgetting the rest of the "Teens Titans"
of which some even came alongside their "Nanny". Checkout the cool dude on the left...That is "Baby Haikel".
Below are Haikel Sizters.

While the bigger ones are left to play on their own, the little ones played under close supervision.

This is to ensure there wasn't any violation of the nature's law such as eating tissue paper, bitting ones handphones or even licking the window grills.

Having said this much, I concluded that it was indeed a fun day of "Kidz Galore"
