UNTRACEABLE
I recently catched up with the movie " UNTRACEABLE" starring Diane Lane. It was indeed a good movie with cleaverly crafted CRIME of getting other people to commit the CRIME together with him. And the team from FBI cybercrime trying trace the culprit and only to find themselves to be the victim.

A side from the show itself, this movie does kept me thinking of the real culprits out there whom are gifted with a superb BRAIN CELLs and only to have it miss used. We have read reports of those hackers whom managed to cripple big agencies, goverment sites and even financial institutions databases that left thousands and thousands of inocent people like u and me stranded and practically clueless of what had hit us. And do note that these hackers are getting younger by the day.
Gone were the days where men hits another men to steal that few extra dollars in another men's wallet. Today, with the touch of a button, hundreds and thousand of dollars are easily lost without one even realising it.
Thus, it is important that we need to understand the safety aspect on the use of our computers and ensuring that our PCs are equipped with the neccessary protection to guard against cyberthreat. We often equipped our PCs and Laptops with the lastest specification but failed to equipped with the latest security patched file.

@ Lower Pierce Reservior
Saturday, a day to rest. It has been a busy week for me at work. With the ending of Financial Yr, I have to assure that all purchases and project invoices are to be cleared within a certain period of time.... Even then, some could not make it in time, all thanks to vendor whom had missed out on my purchase order.. All sorts of excuses started coming out. Anyway, what can I do, all is closed now...Those that could not make it in time will have to deliver the items next financial yr then...and I have much to explain to my management. Sometime I wondered whose fault it is ? Me or them ? Failure on me to supervise ? Nahhh....I did chased them almost every week for the items in invoices and they kept ignoring my calls and email...So I guess, its them then....
Anyway, enuf of the werk stuff.
Today, after sending wifey to werk, I had planned to enter across border to have my car cleaned up or even having it polished..But was stopped by the massive JAM information which I got from the Skycam... So, I decided to take a drive to Thomson area to have breakfast @ The PRATA Shop and have my all time fav. Chicken Floss prata...but not before stopping by Lower Pierce Reservior to take a shot or two for my collection.
*chech ! like real only*

ACADEMY's AWARD
It has been 2yrs plus since I was posted out of my previous unit..and how time flies. I can still remember having moved into the new premises and only to start planning everything from scratch and without much assistance... I was all alone then. Those sleepless nights, unexpected occurance, downtime and blah blah blah ... still playing in my head. The worst was over so I thought....
Anyway, enuf on the flashback. Come 20th March 08, my currently unit will be having our 1st awards nite to award the deserving with the neccessary awards ....
Unlike my previous unit, this is a much smaller scale event with nothing to shout about...but nevertheless the intention was gud and that I hope everyone will have a blast of a time.
Cheers !

The Outsider ........
It was an album filled with memorable photos during my Sec School , Sec 4 & 5 in particular.
Those were probably the best time of my secondary life. There were a total of 7 Sec 4 & 5 classes.I was in class 4/7 and subsequently 5/7 ... Sounded like the last class huh ?? hhmmm...But it was not to be..We were the only group of students who took Literature for N & O levels and was so called the best class in that level. While my other friend were busy with their Arts and Techinical projects, me and my buddy (Ashikid) juz laze around whole day "reading" our Literature books. Not that we understood what we were reading. Till now, I still wondered why the hell did I take up Literature when I myself don't really read books back then. and the Answer : I was too lazy to do those long term Arts and Technical projects. I was never good at any any of those then (...and probably now). Futhermore, I thought Literature was easy because I only need to read books and memorize the storyline but not till I had to do Shakespears !. I remembered having to read ROMEO & JULIET in Old English format that sounded strange and alien to me then. I was too lazy to read the book thus I borrowed the movie, Romeo & Juliet instead. Romeo wearing those tight pants and Juliet look all BLONDE...Woohooo. Only the Video Tape interest me...
Throughout the 2 yrs of studying literature, no book have ever interest me as much as the book called " The Outsides" from SE Hilton. It was the only book that I really took the time to read ever single details and having to understand the characters and its storyline and then I got to see the movie ... It was AWSOME .... The actors in the movie were made up of famous actor such as Patrick Swayze, Rob Lowe, Ralph Manchio (Karate Kid), Emilo Estaves, Thomas C Howell and Mr Misson Impossible himself, Tom Cruise. When the movie was made, these people were not even famous yet.
Anyway, back to the story, it was basically about the life of rich and poor kids having to struggle to create their own identity. It was very rock and roll type. Something like GREESE but non musical and packed with drama.
I recommend this MOVIE too all. A real classix with gud soundtrack from STEVIE WONDER.
I would give this movie 4.5 / 5 ratings.

Lets Get Kicking !
It is already Feb 08... How time flies...and without reliasing it, 2008 will soon pass by and then come 2009.Sitting alone in my office as I wondered about my life. I am soon to be 34 this year ( I think ) ... What have I done ? What have I achieved ? What is my plan ?
Staring at the 4 walls of my office, I began recapping those moments of my life and wondered if I had done enuf. Have I been a gud person ? Have I accomplised what is needed ? Have I read more books or should I say any books ?
I recently bumped onto an old friend of mine and had a short conversation with him and did a little bit of an update about him.
He is into his 30's and manages his own bizness and I must say he is doing pretty well. At least that is what I can see. Talked more about his bizness thingy and I began to realised the various opportunites available out there and it is a matter of guts and will power that will determind one's success.
Anyway, it was a fruitfull meet up with him and I did managed to get some pointers from his entrepreneurship skills.
I am telling myself now. With the rising living standard in Singapore, we have no choice but to try and venture into something beyond our daily scope of work and not too be too confortable with what we are having. The world is evolving at a rapid rate and we need to be on our toes to get alongside with everyone else.
So, I pledge to myself to make 2008 a year of exploration and constantly be on a look out for opportunities that may just come knocking. I say that it is time to get KICKING !

Newly Year
Singapore welcome every new year with a specticular display of fireworks.
As for me, I did nothing on New Years eve except for watching some crappy TV series on cable.
I am not the sort whom likes to be at those crowded places and especially so not with my little draganoid with me.But I may consider FOAM party though..hehehehe...
As we ushered to the Newly Year, I did make some resolution of which will be covered in my subsequent blog entry...
Anyway, the photo above was taken by my gud buddy, Mr ChoosyChus. Am not too sure where the shot were taken from but it is a kewl shot though. I planned to take some shots of the fireworks probably during Chinese New Yr if there is any. Will see how it goes....

I am LEGEND
Managed to catch the movie "I am LEGEND" over the weekend and here is my take on the movie .... Another one of those HUMAN turned Flesh Eating Zombies. Lots of running, biting and not forgetting the memories flashback and stuff..The effect was gud but the storyline was kind of slowmo and if not for Will Smith gud acting this movie may juz pass as below average.
U'll probably enjoy reading the book better then watching the movie. Unleased that imagination of yrs.

Dat little GAMER
Took me little Dragonoid and me nephew for a walk at Tampines Mall yesterday. Instead of her usual routine of playing her kiddy rides, I decided to let her try on Arcade Games and my was she excited or wat.
She was actually more interested in putting coins in the machine coin slots that playing the game itself...hehehe
Anyway, I did let her try some mass shooting games which usually lasted about 30 sec. The same goes to my newphew...managed to play for 30sec and its GAME OVER. $5 gone in less then 10 min.

Feng Shui Secrets

Ask any housing agents, and the first thing they will do before evaluating the house is to check on its Feng Shui to see if it is in good location. Not saying that the agent is a believer of Feng Shui but he or she needed to do this check as their clients may be one of those believer. Good Feng Shui and Bad Feng Shui will determind the price of the house.
U can get free Feng Shui report at the following link :

Wat the PARK !!!
Its has been quite a while since I've been to TakaShimaYa...Saturday, 17 Nov 07, I decided to go there for a walk walk session...furthermore wifey had some stuff to look for.
There is a toy carnival happening there. Wifey wanted to get Sarah the Bubble Gun but because the queue was very long she decided to shelve the idea..
I had also wanted to get Sarah a pair of new shoe because she only have 1 shoe that fits. All other shoes are too small for her... Unfortunately, the shoes that we liked does not have her size.
After about 2.5 hrs of walking we decided to leave as we need to go the hospital to visit wifey's dad.
Upon exiting Taka's carpark, I was shocked when realising that the CARPARK charges amounted to $10 ... I told myself, $10 for 2.5hrs +-... Wat the PARK !!!

....and fear is my ally
Over the last few months me had me been doing lots of soul searching .... In search for the one true answer of my very existance in this planet and the path for which I must choose. The many challenges of life that I must face and gladly knowing that it is the sense of love from the closest one that may paved the way toward a smooth journey.
As I took on the journey, I could not help but feel the sense of FEAR towards the uncertainties of the journey and began questioning these uncertainties. Overtime, I hope to make these fear as my ally and continue with the journey to reach my destiny.
For what I may have been destined to be...I shall be in control of situation to be.
I shall accept this responsibilities and see what things may turned out to be.
Regards

Beach Babe ..
Took Sarah to Pontian town yesterday to buy some stuff. While wifey & mummy were looking for their stuff, me & Sarah took a stroll along the Pontian Beach...
The beach wasn't dat spectacular but enough to get Sarah engrossed on having to stand on those rocks and and getting excited upon every wave that come crashing on those rocks.

Ra-Ra bazaar
Had a briefing session at one of the office at Suntec City yesterday. Was looking down toward the roundabout when I asked meself. There seems to be a constant flow of vehicles circling so I wonder, when will I be able to see an empty roundabout...Probably in late night. I also wonder if the F1 race will use this roundabout as part of the race route ?
Anyway, my briefing session ended early so I decided to take a drive to the nearby Bussorah Bazaar to get something for break fast.
Reached Kandahar St at almost 1630hrs and I began to scout for FOODDDD.....
I had expected that the bazzar to spread much longer just like those at Geylang
But, there were probably about 20 stalls. All selling Food stuff. The choice of food were evenly distributed from Chicken Rice, Brayani, Burger, Roti John, Popiah and etc. But I could not find my all time fav. "Beef DengDeng". Anyway, I wasn't all disappointed though because I managed to get my fav kueh which is a "kueh Jongkong".
This Jongkong version is very powderfull. Freshly cooked. It was still hot when I purchased it.
After spending abount 1hr there, I decided to take my leave.
There were many restaurants offering buffet spead for "Break fast" with prices ranging from $10++ to about $30++. But I ain't into the buffet thingy for break fast.
Will return again if I have the time ... The "Kueh Jongkong" is worth the return.
